View surrounding FSB Libby. As of my 2005 visit, the entire area is now a rubber plantation with mature trees. I always thought that if I was a VC with a mortar, I could bring hell on FSB Libby from this point. Before we got there, somebody did. When we built Libby, the area was strewn with numerous mortar fragments and large shrapnel. There had already been a battle there.
Looking down from a hill across from FSB Libby. It looks peaceful but was not. This was a truly violent and nasty area.
25th Infantry Division Huey chopper I hitched a ride on from BMB to the 24th Evac Hospital to see CPT Kozak.
