A frequent visitor to Ebay, I am always searching for items on auction related to the 439th Signal and 64th Fighter Wing. Rarely do I come up with any quality items but last week, I purchased this image of T/5 Frank E. Askew, who served with Company A of the 439th.
I purchased this item without any hesitation as it is an image representative of the 439th.
Unbelievably, when I received the image, I immediately checked the roster to make sure that the image and the information on the back were legitimate. Not only did Askew serve in Company A, I was shocked to see that he is from my hometown, Asheville, North Carolina!!! What are the odds?
